A sad beautiful moment of History ...

Thursday March 31st, 2011, the chairman of the General Council of Mayotte was to officially proclaim the new status of the island. But he could not do it because ... there was no chairman. It had Indeed not been possible to elect the new chairman because 8 UMP-Nouveau Centre elected councillors were missing to reach the quorum of 2/3 necessary for the vote to take place. There were only 11 Councillors out of 19, instead of the 13 minimum required ... The vote had to be postponed to Sunday, April 3, 2011. However, the official date of the promulgation of the new status of Mayotte remains March 31, 2011
